About Enabled Journeys

Honest snapshots of places, from people who get it.

Enabled Journeys is an app built by disabled people for disabled people. Whether you roll out your door for a weekday coffee, a hometown park loop, or a trip far from everything you know, you can peek at how workable a stop really is before you sink time and spoons into showing up.

Our mission

Cut through guesswork about everyday places.

Most tools still treat accessibility like a flyer line. Enabled Journeys gathers what people verify in the flesh: friendly bathrooms, parking you can rely on, room to maneuver inside or on the patio, and the small friction points that rarely make it into marketing copy but decide whether a spot is workable.

It is crowdsourced intel you can skim fast, built for errands around the corner and for travel that crosses time zones alike. The same map helps someone trying a Tuesday lunch spot and someone planning a marathon road trip weeks out.

We ship features, policies, and language only after disabled people who use this app weigh in. This is not ally theater. It is shared stewardship by and for folks who refuse to treat access as an afterthought.

The storefront on our site stays optional icing: partner gear should never steal the spotlight from the lived detail that lands in your feed when you tap a venue.

How we got here

  1. 2023

When every fresh outing felt heavy

We kept wanting to explore and kept landing short. Restrooms tucked out of reach, tight paths, confusing entrances, staff energy that brushed us aside. Cheerful flyers rarely matched how the pavement actually felt, and optimism started to sting more than inspire.

  2. 2024

The idea turned into an app sketch

Little by little those conversations became notes, then outlines, then a rough thing you could poke at on your phone. It was early and messy, basically a way to test what folks actually wanted to see.

  3. 2025

    The network grows

More towns, parks, eateries, shops, and stops started showing crowdsourced cues about restrooms, parking, and room to breathe.

  4. Today

Closer to strangers and neighbors alike

Everyday locals and visitors from far away use the same ledger of honest snapshots so outings feel less like a gamble.

The people behind it

A compact crew led by disabled people, with coworkers and collaborators who share the north star that access should steer the roadmap, never the other way around.

Kelly Osorio

Founder & Director

Came up with Enabled Journeys and keeps the day-to-day moving—priorities, partnerships, and making sure access stays at the center of every decision.

Carlos Osorio

Marketing & Outreach

Helps more people hear about the app—storytelling, outreach, and spreading the word so honest place intel reaches the folks who need it.

Joshua Osorio

App Developer

Built the app itself—the screens, flows, and tools that gather and surface place intel so it is faster to skim on a noisy sidewalk or quiet at home.

Accessibility

Our commitment.

This site targets WCAG 2.2 AA. We test with screen readers, keyboard only navigation, and switch controls. If you hit a barrier, that is a bug. Please tell us.
